St. Lawrence, nws, lynn, 38.-The Tadoussac area of the St. Lawrence River is known for its whale watching from May to September. The salt water tides from the Atlantic churn the nutrient-rich waters of the St. Lawrence which create food zones for the whales. The peral white Beluga is the only whale to stay year round in the St. Lawrence.
